Halle berry talks about fears as daughter heads to college

Halle Berry opened up about mixed feelings as daughter began college.

The American actress has two biological children, 18-year-old daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry with former partner, Gabriel Aubry while 12-year-old son Maceo Robert Martinez with ex-husband, Olivier Martinez.

Speaking with People Magazine at the Create & Cultivate Festival, Halle revealed that her teenage daughter has entered her college era and it is “a little scary.”

Halle went on to say, “She’s the first to go and she’s my baby girl.”

Adding, “I felt proud of her, but there’s a little fear. She’s in the world now all by herself.”

“She went to another state, and I just hope that she makes the right decisions and that her dad and I hope we raised her up right and that she’ll make the most of her experience,” she added further.

While Halle's son “feels like an only child,” in his sister’s absence moreover now he “gets to sleep” in his big sister’s bed.

The mother added, “There are perks that come with that.”

Noting, “They no longer have to compromise. We don’t have to agree on dinner anymore. He gets to decide these kinds of things for himself.”

She further revealed, although he is enjoying being an only child he still feels “off” without Nahla.

However, they are “all so supportive and so proud” of the 18-year-old.
