Commanders star Jayden Daniels suffers another left elbow injury against Cowboys

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was carted off the field after suffering a left elbow injury against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
ESPN reported that Daniels was injured on the final play of the first half and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
On third-and-goal from the one-yard line, Daniels appeared to have his feet stepped on by left guard Chris Paul as he took the snap.
As he fell, Daniels attempted to brace himself with his left arm and his elbow bent backwards.
Daniels remained on the ground before briefly getting up and attempting to leave the field.
He went down again and was examined by medical staff before being taken away on a cart.
The injury is particularly concerning because Daniels dislocated the same elbow during Week 9 last season against Seattle.
He returned four weeks later but reinjured it against Minnesota in Week 14 and missed the remainder of the season.
Before Sunday’s injury, Daniels had helped Washington recover from a 17-3 deficit, including throwing a touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs.
The 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year completed 11 of 17 passes for 96 yards.
He also rushed seven times for 69 yards before leaving the game.
