Emily Osment makes surprising confession about Dolly Parton

Emily Osment recalled her experience with Dolly Parton. The duo on the iconic Disney sitcom Hannah Montana that aired from 2006 to 2011.

Following the country music legends’ death, Emily shared an unexpected detail about the late Dolly Parton, which stayed with her, saying, “She was, if not on time, very early, and she always smelled like magnolias. That’s what I remember. She smelled really good.”

It is worth noting here that Dolly Parton portrayed the character of aunt Dolly, who was Miley Cyrus' godmother while Miley was lead actress in Hannah Montana.

Previously, speaking with Vanity Fair in 2020, Dolly spoke about her working experience with Miley, “We just worked so great together … and thanks to her, I had a whole new following of people that were turned on to me,” Dolly said at the time.

Adding, “These young, little kids that were her fans, and kids that were fans of just the whole show, and the other little artists on the show, but here I am, Miley’s fairy godmother.”

It is worth noting here that Dolly died at the age of 80 on August 25, 2026, after battling with cancer.

After her death Miley wrote in an emotional post, “The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts.”

She also revealed that her last conversation with the late singer was about "music and metamorphosis.”
