Patrick Clancy shares that after losing his children, he felt an inexplicable bond with them
Patrick Clancy, Lindsay Clancy's ex-husband, went to run an errand, and virtually his whole world disappeared.
The father of three remembered coming back home and finding a disturbing picture: a pool of blood and his three missing children.
Their names were Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months.
He searched the house for them but at first did not find them; however, he found his then-wife outside the home, badly injured.
The full picture then started to emerge: Lindsay jumped out of the window to attempt suicide while cutting her hands and after killing her children with exercise bands.
Now, Patrick is retelling his grief in his own words.
In an interview with 60 Minutes, he emotionally shared that he still talks to his deceased children.
Not literally, but through a spiritual bond.
In line with that, Patrick said, “I ask them for help all the time."
Meanwhile, Lindsay's trial was declared a mistrial after 12 jurors did not unanimously agree on her guilt.
It is worth noting that the mom of three did not deny killing her children, but her legal team argued she was not herself at the time and was suffering from postpartum psychosis.
Her next hearing is scheduled on Sept. 29.
