Jung Ho Yeon reveals Alicia Vikander's ‘great advice’ amid ‘Hope’ challenges

Jung Ho Yeon opened up about her Hope anxiety.

Jung Ho Yeon stars as a police officer, and her co-star Alicia Vikander plays a character as an alien in Hope.

In a recent interview with People Magazine, Jung revealed the intense challenges she faced while filming. “Driving was definitely the most difficult because I already had an automatic license, but then I had to learn stick shift and get my manual license. I had to learn how to drift and do very complicated driving techniques,” she stated.

She also revealed how her co-star helped her overcome the anxiety she felt during action stunts, saying, “Not only did I have to drive, but I also had to perform these action stunts and act as well. There was a lot of anxiety that I felt around that. But then my costar, Alicia Vikander, gave me really great advice: to focus on the excitement of trying something new, instead of letting anxiety and fear lead me.”

“So I really tried to focus on that excitement,” Jung further added.

It is worth noting here that, alongside being an actress, Jung is an international fashion model; moreover, she has walked for big luxury brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Marc Jacobs.

Jung further opened up about how her modeling experience contributed to her performance in the action scenes: “There is a lot of the physicality where I could use my experience in modeling because through modeling I know how to move and use my body. So I would say that it was a little easier going into the action of it all.”

“There is a connective thread in terms of how you move your body,” Jung added.

For those unaware, the sci-fi thriller was released in South Korea on July 5, while it hit North American theaters on September 9, 2026.
