Shania Twain announces new memoir audiobook and album edition

Shania Twain is looking back on her life story this fall with two new releases.

The 60-year-old singer will narrate a newly recorded audiobook edition of her bestselling memoir, From This Moment On, originally published in 2011.

The memoir chronicles Twain's difficult upbringing in rural Canada, where she grew up in poverty in an abusive household and stepped in to care for her siblings after their parents died in a car accident when she was 22. It also discusses her international music stardom, her marriage, and her eventual journey toward healing.

Twain said revisiting the book for this new recording brought back a wide range of emotions, from the dreams and hardships of her early life to moments she never could have imagined achieving.

“Revisiting From This Moment On and recording this new audiobook edition has been such a personal and meaningful experience,” Twain says in an exclusive quote. “These memories hold so many emotions for me — the dreams, the challenges, the heartbreak and the incredible moments I could never have imagined.”

The updated audiobook will include a new exclusive foreword, and Twain said she hopes hearing her read the story herself will feel personal, like she's sharing it directly with listeners.

Just days after the audiobook debuts, Twain will also release an expanded edition of her seventh studio album, "Little Miss Twain," which first came out in July.

The new version, titled "Little Miss Twain — The Places I'll Go," will include five additional songs.

The From This Moment On audiobook will be released October 6 through Simon & Schuster Audio.
