Bob Mackie, fashion trailblazer, dies at 87

Bob Mackie doesn't typically design everyday clothes. Instead, he was good at creating awe-inspiring outfits.

Many celebrities, including Cher, Diana Ross, and Carol Burnett, wore his designs, and those dresses became evergreen.

Now, he is dead at the age of 87.

The post on his official Instagram account announced his death: "It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Mr. Bob Mackie passed away today."

"He lived his 87 years to the fullest, fulfilling his dream of being a fashion and costume designer, which is all he ever wanted to do."

"His genius and extraordinary designs will live on forever, continuing to bring beauty into this world, the statement added.
