Meghan Markle’s attempt at showing love to her husband’s homeland has landed like lead. Its gotten so bad that every critic, commentator and expert feel her ‘second chance’ at royal life has gone down the drain, allegedly.
The reason for these seemingly polarizing view of the Duchess, who uprooted herself and her children to the UK, is because of her past comments against the British paparazzi and members of the Royal Family.
Now, with her idyllic video showing the backs of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s heads making rounds across social media, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield has joined the conversation.
Her point of view is very candid, and right of the bat she called the move “striking” and even “hypocritical”.
However, that wasn’t the end of it. The host of the YouTube channel with the same name even said, “if privacy is genuinely the priority, the most effective strategy is simple… stop broadcasting your family life to millions of strangers. Every hyper-curated glimpse of the children, the dogs, the countryside, and their domestic routine invites more attention, more questions, and more interest in where and how they are living.”
The conversation itself happened during her interview with Page Six and sees her point out how, “you cannot deliberately feed that machine and then act astonished or outraged when people want to know more.”
In regards to the privacy conversation that the Duchess seems intent on, Ms Schofield offered her more of her two cents. In her view, “Archie and Lili are too young to meaningfully consent to having their voices, activities, and private family moments broadcast to millions of strangers. Hiding their faces does not suddenly eliminate the attention it generates around them.”
However, Harry wasn’t spared from this public bashing because in her view, “he has spent years describing the damage he believes media attention caused him as a child, yet he is now participating in packaging portions of his own children’s childhood for public consumption. You cannot spend years telling the world that unwanted attention traumatized you and then actively manufacture public interest in the private lives of your own children.”
