Catherine Zeta-Jones reveals what could have ended her marriage to Michael Douglas

Catherine Zeta-Jones is spilling a rare secret about her long-lasting marriage to Michael Douglas.

The Hollywood couple, famed for having a 25-year age gap, are happily married for more than two decades.

And according to Catherine, they would not have made this much far if they did not spend a big chunk of time away from each other focusing on their individual acting career.

The Kill Jackie actress told The Sunday Times Culture magazine, “Michael is, like, ‘Go and do that job, that’s amazing.’ And then he’s able to fly in and see me for a long weekend."

Catherine admitted this was "much better than waking up" next to her partner daily and asking "What do you want for breakfast, honey?"

She remarked, "I don’t think our marriage would ever have lasted if it was like that.”

The pair, who share two kids, Dylan, 26, and Carys, 23, together, then moved out to Bermuda after having children to look after their kids away from the public eye.

“It was really hard when I had my babies," the actress shared.

She explained, “Living in New York, pushing them to kindergarten, it was really hard because you’ve got [photographers] jumping on the underground with us, and it was awful."

"That’s when Michael and I made the decision to go to Bermuda and school them there, the best thing we ever did," Catherine recalled.
