Alison Krauss & Union Station call off upcoming tour dates for heartbreaking reason

Alison Krauss has called off her upcoming Arcadia Tour with Union Station.

The 55-year-old singer announced the shocking decision on her Instagram account on Thursday, September 10.

As per Alison, doctors have advised her to go on vocal rest, and for this reason, the group's upcoming tour has been cancelled.

"After consulting with medical professionals, Alison has been advised to take a period of vocal rest to ensure a full and healthy recovery,” the post read.

“This decision was not made lightly as we are deeply committed to our fans,” it continued. “However, prioritizing health and vocal integrity are imperative at this time … we hope to make it back to these cities in the near future.”

For those unaware, the Arcadia Tour was scheduled to kick off on September 11 in Davenport, Iowa. The 17 cancelled shows were to be held in various cities.

The shocking news of cancellation comes after she and her band, Union Station, dropped their first album, Arcadia, in March 2025.

At the time of its release, Krauss shared a lengthy note on her Instagram handle.

“The stories of the past are told in this music," she began. "It’s that whole idea of ‘in the good old days when times were bad."

"There’s so much bravery and valor and loyalty and dreaming, of family and themes of human existence that were told in a certain way when our grandparents were alive,” the 27-time Grammy winner continued.

“Someone asked me, ‘How do you sing these tragic tunes?’ I have to. It’s a calling. I feel privileged to be a messenger of somebody else’s story. And I want to hear what happened," Alison added.
