'Musk' documentary creators land in hot water as Elon Musk issues legal notice

Elon Musk has broken his silence and threatened legal action against the forthcoming new documentary.

After the forthcoming documentary of the same name, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival on September 8, the renowned trillionaire’s attorney, Alex Spiro, has sent direct Alex Gibney a warning letter, as the project accuses Musk of manipulating the 2024 United States presidential election.

Spiro claimed that he tried to contact the creators of the documentary and ask them about Musk’s portrayal in the film and baseless claims but “they have refused to engage.”

He also stated that Gibney and his team made the whole project keep their own image of him in mind rather than focusing on facts and reality.

Spiro penned, “This project did not begin as an inquiry. It began with a conclusion.”

Notably, the upcoming documentary also features Ashley St. Clair, the erstwhile partner of the chief executive officer of Tesla and the mother of his son Romulus, who has now turned into his strong critic, as they are currently fighting over the child’s custody.

It is pertinent to note that Musk is set to be released in theatres on October 26, 2026.
