Apple says iPhone 18 Pro Max has the largest increase in battery life ever on iPhone
Apple has made battery life one of the core advancements on the new iPhone 18 Pro leveraging efficiency gains from the A20 Pro chip and restructured internal framework to significantly extend battery performance even while retaining the smaller Pro form factor.
The company has also significantly improved wired charging speeds. Claims are that iPhone Pro can reach 50% charge in around 15 minutes. Apple rates the iPhone 18 Pro for up to 24 hours of operating time.
The figure is specifically notable because Apple is delivering the improvement without moving the regular Pro model.
The company attributes much of the battery improvement to the efficiency of the new A20 Pro silicon. The iPhone 18 Pro receives a next-generation vapor chamber three times more effective than one used in the iPhone 17 Pro.
While the cooling system increases the capacity to sustain prolonged effort, better thermal management. It also retains the ability to improve system efficiency by preventing components from overheating.
Apple has upgraded the silicon packaging as well as placing the chip and memory in closer thermal contact. The company clarified that just five minutes of charging can provide power for up to six hours.
Furthermore, the new battery upgrades are particularly useful for maintaining sufficient power while travelling.
