Megan Thee Stallion says she compromised too much in previous romance

It was the summer of 2025 when Megan Thee Stallion entered into a romantic relationship with Klay Thompson.

However, months later, virtually everything in their romance came crashing down.

Started with an allegation of cheating that the NBA player is accused of, the musician called it an end to the relationship.

But now, looking back at that phase, she believes she compromised too much of herself.

In a reflective interview with InStyle, the Cry Baby hitmaker said, “What’s meant for you is always going to work out."

"And if something is constantly making you feel uncomfortable, just on edge all the time, you probably are not supposed to be there."

“God will always make you uncomfortable when something is not meant for you," she added.

Stallion was clear after the distasteful experience that she will not try to mould herself to 'others' liking; instead, she will maintain her distinct identity.

“I was losing myself a little bit. I am now in the space of finding me again,” the musician noted.

“I cannot be disrespected. I cannot be a person who is not gonna be me," she continued.

"I cannot not go to work. I’m going to be Megan Thee Stallion…You will not disrespect me. And you will be thankful. Period," Stallion concluded.
