“I met him on set and like we had like kind of a love at first sight thing,” Gwyneth recalled. “It was pretty awesome. It was really fun.”

The Marty Supreme actress described the experience as "overwhelming" and noted that as her fame as an actress grew, she came to be recognized as Brad's girlfriend.

"I was just young, and we were working all over different parts of the world,” Gwyneth said.

For those unaware, Gwyneth and Brad ended their relationship in June 1997.

When she asked if their relationship felt more “like a fantasy than a reality," the actress replied, “There was an aspect of it that was very heady."

"I was very young and he was this beautiful movie star," continued Gwyneth.

The Shallow Hal alum later clarified that she and Brad are still friends today.

Gwyneth added that she was "so bummed" after parting ways with the Troy actor.

“I think the press aspect and all that makes it feel larger than life in a way,” she said. “You have to carry this faux cultural importance piece, this extra burden and this extra shame that it didn’t work out.”
