Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show future laid bare after 2027 exit rumors

American Broadcasting Company, ABC, broke its silence after rumors have been circulating that Jimmy Kimmel Live! isnearing its end.

Following a report by Page Six, published on Tuesday, that the late-night talk show is ending in 2027, the entertainment channel denied the claims, calling them "inaccurate."

An ABC Entertainment spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly in a statement, "This information is inaccurate."

Further pushing back the claims, the rep noted, "Any reports about the future of the show at this point are purely speculative."

For those unaware, Kimmel first experimented the late-night talk show with ABC in 2003 when he launched Livewhich used to air at 12:05 am. Later, it started streaming at 11:35 pm since 2013.

Now it's been 24 years since Kimmel successfully running the show despite facing backlash over his controversial political remarks against American President Donald Trump.

Kimmel's late-night show even faced a brief and indefinite suspension back in September 2025 after ABC and Disney pulled the program off air following the host's criticism of the political reactions to Charlie Kirk's fatal shooting.

However, Kimmel returned a few days later.

Earlier in August, country singer Jelly Roll filled in for Kimmel as the host was on his summer break.

Now Kimmel has returned in full spirit to the show on Tuesday, September 8.
