A video circulating on social media appears to show King Charles ignoring a fainting man
US President Donald Trump shared a misleading video that purported to show King Charles leaving the scene after a worker lost consciousness during a royal visit.
The edited footage was shared by Trump on his Truth Social platform depicting other world leaders as arrogant, rude and lacking respect.
The video goes on to show a compilation of clips where Trump is seen honoring fallen US troops and shaking hands with law enforcement officers.
According to the BBC, the three-minute video posted by the president on the US Labor Day holiday starts with a clip of French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace as a guardsman appears to collapse him.
On social platform X, users have been sharing reactions on current video with one writing, “ One photo our Emperor posted is not going to diminish His Majesty’s reputation or make the King appear to be self centered, snobbish, a bit of a prick and arrogant. No sir, not our Caesar, His Majesty can do it all by his loathsome as he has in the past.”
Second added, “ It was clearly unexpected and then the King reached for him but the others were quicker. Then he gives them space. It's a perfectly normal response.”
The full footage which Trump did not use showed Charles reaching out to the man as he fell before staying nearby as he received medical attention. Additionally, Trump has often touted his close bond with Charles and described him as the greatest king in my book at the end of the King and Charles’ state visit to the US in April.
