Brendan Fraser reveals when new 'The Mummy' movie will begin filming

Brendan Fraser has been central to The Mummy franchise, and as the reboot is in the works, it is only fitting that he would reveal the latest update.

In an interview with the French television channel Canal+, the actor said that filming for the new Mummy movie will begin tomorrow.

Alongside him, other stars from the film series are also returning.

Kevin O’Connor, who played thief Beni Gabor, is one of them.

He previously shared in EW’s Mummy oral history, “I was doing There Will Be Blood with Daniel Day-Lewis, and one of the local town kids, he was looking for a skinny guy that played Ben."

“He pointed to Daniel-Day Lewis and said, ‘Was he the guy in The Mummy?’ [Laughs.] I said, ‘No, that was me.’”

The new Mummy movie is slated to release in cinemas on October 15, 2027.
