Jelly Roll loses major gig after Donald Trump jokes on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

Jelly Roll's invitation to a police fundraising event got cancelled after the country star joked about Donald Trump while guest-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The country star, who first hosted the late-night talk show back in July 2025 and returned to fill in as guest host again in August 2026 amid Jimmy's summer break, has been uninvited from performing at the Big Blue Bash, an annual event at Mar-a-Lago benefiting the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Foundation.
The head of the law enforcement media outlet The Police Tribune, Kyle S.Reyes, also managing the event, wrote on X, “What I saw last week with this self-absorbed ‘artist’ bashing President Trump and Conservatives was not a man who walks in the footsteps of Jesus Christ – it was a man desperately seeking attention and relevancy from the very Godless crowd that has categorically rejected his preaching."
However, it's not revealed yet whether Jelly accepted the invitation, the owner of the media outlet said that they are “formally withdrawing the invitation for Jelly Roll.”
Now, country singer Coffey Anderson will perform in Jelly Roll's place.
The invitation was sent on "April 24, 2026."
During the August 24 episode of his guest-hosting stint on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Jelly Roll delivered punchlines in the president's direction when speaking about the IndyCar Freedom 250 event in Washington, D.C.
Jelly Roll joked that “the president seemed to enjoy the IndyCar race, which was a real switch-up for him because normally he only likes his own race.”
“Trump also drove around the track in his motorcade doing what they call the ‘lap of honor’ - which sounds like a loyalty program at a strip club.”
He then shifted the topic to Trump's appearance, saying that the Sunday drive marked “the only laps Trump's been doing lately.”
After a montage of clips of Trump alluding to people's appearances, Jelly Roll said, “Well, Mr. President, from one fat pig to another, take it from me that physical fitness is very important.”
Then, referring to his fitness journey, he added, “It’s crazy, think about this, y’all. In the last few years, I’ve lost 300 pounds. That means I’ve lost an entire Donald Trump - and let’s be honest, based on his approval ratings, it seems like most of the country wants to do the same thing."
Jelly also delivered a savage blow to politicians before wrapping up his guest-hosting stint on August 28.
