Adria Arjona shares grueling fitness routine ahead of new 'Superman' role

Adria Arjona is opening up about her intense workout routine as she prepares for a still-undisclosed role in the upcoming Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow.

In a recent video with Women's Health, the 34-year-old actress shared details of her daily training schedule, which is packed with cardio, weightlifting, and several rounds of boxing, all spread throughout the day alongside multiple meals.

“I wake up. I do cardio for about 45 minutes,” she said. “Then I do weightlifting for about two hours. Then after the workout, I’ll have a bite to eat. We’ll box for six rounds and then I eat again. And then I eat and I eat and I go to sleep.”

Arjona described the routine as physically demanding but rewarding, saying she's enjoyed watching her body transform throughout the process.

“It’s a job,” she continued. “I’m really enjoying it. I’m enjoying the transformation, but it’s hard work. I’ve never felt stronger, but it’s hard. The excitement of playing the woman I’m playing gives me everything I need to wake up. Physically, it’s exhausting, but it’s all for the greater good.”

She also spoke about her long-standing relationship with boxing, revealing that she's trained with the same coach for the past decade, even outside of specific film projects.

“I’ve been boxing for years now. I think it’s something that allows me to get out of my head,” she said in the clip. “You have to be so present at boxing because you can get punched. Boxing has made me so confident. Nothing makes you more confident than punching something and hitting it hard. Hearing that pad, you’re like, ‘Hell yeah, I’m powerful.’ ”

While her exact role in the film remains unconfirmed, reports suggest she may be playing a powerful character from the Superman comics.

The new movie continues the story from the 2025 Superman film. Some actors from the first movie will return, and new characters will also join the story.
