Meghan Markle's expectations from King Charles revealed

Meghan Markle is reportedly hoping to relaunch both her acting career and her lifestyle brand now that she and Prince Harry are back in the UK, with sources suggesting she may seek support from King Charles to help boost her business.

Speculation has grown that the Duke and Duchess have settled into a new home in the Cotswolds, an area known for its scenic countryside and, notably, where Netflix's popular crime drama The Gentlemenwas filmed—a show Meghan was in talks to join before those plans reportedly fell through.

Despite this setback, sources say Meghan remains interested in returning to acting. An insider explained, "Meghan is ready to jump back into acting full-time; she says she really missed it, and the fact that she can do it from the UK is quite appealing as well."

The source added that being based in the UK could offer her more opportunities to stand out professionally, saying her goal is "to score something high profile that will allow her to really showcase her talent and maybe even start winning awards."

In addition to acting, Meghan is reportedly continuing to focus heavily on expanding her lifestyle brand, As Ever, into the UK market. The source has shared that Meghan hopes that gaining public support from King Charles could help give her brand credibility as she works to grow its presence internationally.

"If things go well with the King, the hope is that he will publicly show her and her brand some support," the insider explained, adding that even a small public gesture, like a shared photo or comment, would be meaningful.

Interestingly, this ambition could create some overlap with King Charles's own charitable brand, Duchy Organic, which he founded decades ago. The source also said Meghan reportedly hopes the two brands could eventually coexist, or even collaborate, saying, "In an ideal world, she would have her jam on the shelf beside the Duchy's jam, and she doesn't see why that's not possible."

However, such a partnership seems unlikely given that Duchy's profits support charitable causes, while Meghan's brand operates commercially.

Meghan has also hinted that a new sparkling wine will launch soon. This is part of her bigger plan to grow her brand in other countries, especially the UK, where she believes her products will fit in well with local tastes and traditions.

Despite her optimism, sources say there is real pressure surrounding this next chapter, given the financial investment and public attention involved.

The source noted, "If she tries and flops, the financial hit will be massive, not to mention how humiliating another failure would be." Still, they emphasised that Meghan appears to be approaching the situation with confidence rather than dwelling on past setbacks.
