Queen Camilla returns to Liverpool library destroyed in shocking Arson attack

Queen Camilla made an emotional royal visit!

On September 4, the royal family’s official Instagram handle shared a video clip of Queen Camilla’s visit to the Spellow community hub and Library in Liverpool. In the video, Her Majesty can be seen interacting with children.

The library assistant, Sean, shared that the library was damaged by fire in July 2024, due to which it remained closed for several months, and he said, “It just stopped the community getting access to what we had been giving them.”

However, the caption read, “The Queen visited Spellow Community Hub & Library in Liverpool, which has reopened after the site was destroyed by rioters in August 2024.”

It continued, “The arson attack caused extensive damage, but the refurbished library is once again considered the heart of the community.”

“The Queen met library staff, locals who use the space and children who are members of the library’s Chess Club.”

“Her Majesty also learnt more about the smart classrooms, flexible learning spaces, council services and parent-and-toddler groups available to the local community,” the caption concluded.

It is pertinent to mention that back in 2024, Queen Camilla donated a box of books to help replenish the Spellow Community Hub and Library’s collection after it was damaged.
