Taylor Frankie Paul shares 'weird' update from her cancelled season of 'The Bachelorette'

Taylor Frankie Paul has given a juicy update from her cancelled season of The Bachelorette.

Hulu’s Get Real podcast shows a clip from the forthcoming season five of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives(SLOMW) during the Thursday, September 3, episode.

In the clip, Paul can be seen sharing all of the Bachelor Nation drama with her costars Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, and Jessi Draper, revealing that a suitor, presumably Doug Mason, did “get down on one knee and propose” to her.

When she was asked what she said to the proposal, she replied, “[I said,] ‘Yes.’ Yes, I did [get engaged]. Then, I come home. Obviously [me and ex Dakota Mortensen] were texting. ‘When are you going to be home?’ I don’t know how it led to it but he came over.”

“Umm … I think I know how that happened,” Matthews said.

Notably, nobody took Doug’s name; however, the SLOMW ladies confirmed his identity, as they revealed that Taylor’s suitor has the “same initials” as Dakota.

The final nail in the coffin was when Paul swore she was clueless about the many similarities between Dakota and Doug in the beginning.

She admitted, “I didn’t start thinking that until people said it around me,” which prompted Draper to respond, “They have the same initials. They’re both from Idaho. It’s so weird.”

It is pertinent to mention that Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette was cancelled after she and her former partner Dakota were involved in a domestic violence investigation in Utah.

Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 5 is set to be released on Hulu and Disney+ on September 10, 2026.
