Jennifer Aniston's boyfriend Jim Curtis answers burning questions about their 'honeymoon phase'
Jim Curtis on what makes his relationship with Jennifer Aniston work and how they handle disagreements
Jennifer Aniston's boyfriend, Jim Curtis, is opening up about what he loves about their relationship.
Curtis, 50, who has been dating Aniston, 57, for about a year and a half, gave an insider look at their relationship in a recent interview.
The hypnotherapist began with the qualities he admires about her, saying he feels fortunate to be with someone so kind and genuine.
“It’s going really well. My experience of her is so grounded and so open and caring and kind and loving," he disclosed on The Jamie Kern Lima Show.
"I feel blessed to be in a relationship with someone that is so open-hearted and kind and loving. She uses words like ‘my love.'”
Curtis also discussed how the couple handles disagreements, explaining that they rely on communication and mindfulness practices like meditation, especially since they're still in the earlier stages of their relationship.
“We do a lot of meditation. We do a lot of talk… I think that at different stages in your relationship, that different tools are really beneficial.
"And so, you know, Jen and I have been together a year and a half…in a honeymoon phase, your tools don’t have to be like big sledgehammers.”
He also spoke about being welcomed into Aniston's close circle of friends, calling them "family."
"I feel incredibly blessed to be part [of] and welcomed into that family… such a beautiful community and group of people."
He explained further, "It really speaks to her — and them — that everybody is so grounded, so kind. And it’s not just to me. There’s a reason why that whole group and community is so beloved.”
His comments follow previous reports describing Aniston as being very happy in the relationship, with sources noting that those around her have responded positively to Curtis as well.
