Thousands of Microsoft Outlook users reported problems with the email service on Monday, as Microsoft said it was working to restore mail flow.

In an update posted on X on Monday evening, Microsoft said users should begin seeing improvements as recovery efforts continued.
"We're continuing to deploy our mitigation across the affected environment and users should begin to see gradual recovery to mail flow. In parallel, we're restarting targeted sections of the affected infrastructure to aid the recovery of the downstream scenarios. For more information, please see EX1464935 and MO1465074 in the admin centre," Microsoft said.
The company did not immediately provide a timeline for when Outlook services would be fully restored.
Microsoft said it was restarting targeted parts of its infrastructure alongside its wider mitigation efforts in an attempt to restore affected services.
