GTA 6 is scheduled to release on November 19, 2026
New details surrounding New Grand Theft Auto VI have emerged, leaving the fans more excited about the game.
The recent widely circulating details outlined a vastly overhauled economy and an extensive and multi-tiered free-roam robbery system that deeply integrates into the game’s campaign.
According to new details, a three-tiered money system is expected to be introduced. Under the new system, money is no longer treated as a singular digital number in a player's wallet.
The economy is divided into three distinct categories. The first is bank balance based on securing funds that cannot be lost upon death.
The second is physical cash: money carried on your person which must be deposited at ATMs and is susceptible to being lost in the case of death of either Jason or Lucia.
Moreover, unrefined stolen goods that hold no immediate spending power until successfully laundered.
Speaking about the stolen items, they cannot be converted into immediate cash. To convert it, the players must find and unlock specialized fences throughout the map.
The goods, including drugs, vehicles and jewellery must be discovered naturally through game progression. At various points, the story will clearly halt until Jason and Lucia hit specific financial thresholds.
Speaking about the robbery structure, there are points in the story where you will need to get a specific amount of money in order to progress, this can be done by doing open world robberies and other side activities like racing.
Every store's robbery is unique in some way, whether that's holding up hostages or needing to worry about CCTV cameras. The scope is widened ranging from minor convenience stores to high-level stores and criminal hideouts.
Robberies can be managed solo or through cooperation with both Lucia and Jason. Back rooms feature safes requiring combinations which can be found through searching the location and buying the tips from other game characters.
Some robberies have to be unlocked through exploration or through side/main mission progress by knowing the right people. Rockstar has added a ton of new things to spend money on, fixing the problem of having too much money with nothing to spend it on in previous GTA games.
