London bus crash: Pedestrian injured as double-decker smashes into building in Hayes

In a tragic accident, a H98 double-decker bus collided with a pedestrian and crashed into a building on Station Road in Hayes, West London near the Hayes & Harlington railway station.

The crash took place at approximately 7:00 PM.( L.T) Footage from the scene indicated the bus appeared to clip a pedestrian and strike a car before veering off the road and wedging into the side of an apartment block (Trident House).

As reported by the local media, a male pedestrian was struck and injured during the sequence. Multiple London Ambulance Service crews attended the scene, treated the injured man, and he was later discharged.

Fortunately, First Bus confirmed that there were no passengers on board the bus at the time of the collision.

However, the bus driver also sustained some minor injuries as a result of collision.

Structural engineers assessed the building following the crash and confirmed that the damage was strictly cosmetic and non-structural.

Police, firefighters, and ambulance crews rushed to the scene, causing local traffic disruptions and temporary bus diversions.

Both Transport for London (TfL) and First Bus are cooperating with the Metropolitan Police to investigate the exact cause of the crash.

Emergency services and TfL worked alongside First Bus to clear the area and investigate the exact cause of the accident.

A TfL spokesperson said, "Our thoughts are with the person who was injured when a bus collided with a building in Hayes and Harlington.
