Moses Martin follows in Chris Martin's footsteps with London debut

Moses Martin, the 20-year-old son of Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow, recently performed his first London show in the same neighborhood where his father's band, Coldplay, got its start decades ago.

Moses performed with his own band, People I've Met, at The Hawley Arms in Camden this Wednesday, marking a full-circle moment.

In a recent interview, Moses spoke about growing up with famous parents, acknowledging that their background has helped shape his opportunities.

“It’s definitely something to be reckoned with. I think the ultimate thing is that I’m very grateful to be in the position I’m in and I have a musical DNA through my parents,” Moses told Rolling Stone. “My parents are incredible, and I’m very grateful to be in the position I’m in.”

He also touched upon his band's creative process, saying they are focused on creating music that feels authentic and meaningful to them.

“What I’m trying to say is that yes, we acknowledge it and we’re grateful for it, but we’re doing something that is special and unique to us, and that we really care about,” he added.

He continued, “So ultimately, whatever gets people to listen to the music really, like wherever they come from, we welcome any fan. We really just love it and I particularly am grateful also to have parents who are supportive of this because they know what it’s like.”

Moses has become more visible publicly in recent months, recently launching a modeling career through a fashion campaign that also featured music from his band. He also made his red carpet debut earlier this year, attending a film premiere alongside his mother.
