Patsy Kensit reveals Noel Gallagher's behavior over her shocking decision after her marriage to his brother Liam Gallagher
Patsy Kensit recently lifted the lid on how Noel Gallagher behaved when she married his brother Liam Gallagher.
For those unaware, the 58-year-old English actress and singer and the 53-year-old English singer-songwriter tied the knot in a secret, early-morning ceremony at the Westminster Register Office in London on April 7, 1997. The couple parted ways after three years of marriage in September 2000 due to his unreasonable behaviour.
On the Thursday, August 26 episode of Davina McCall's Begin Again podcast, Kensit admitted that her marriage to Liam turned out to be all-consuming as she lost a part of herself.
She said, “I think what I forgot in that time was how much I'd done before it. That relationship became so big. It was bigger than me and therefore the pressure was huge.”
Alluding to her and the Oasis star’s famous Vanity Fair shoot in 1997, the Lethal Weapon 2 star quipped, “Of course, the Vanity Fair cover and all of that stuff is very... people love it. It was a very iconic time.”
Notably, when she took a break from her flourishing career, Noel interrogated her about her shocking decision.
Kensit recalled, “I remember him taking me to one side and saying, "Why aren't you working? Why aren't you..." because I was always off doing films and going to the States and stuff.
“And I remember saying, ‘Because I'm too afraid to leave him on his own.’ I lost part of who I was going into that relationship. I somehow lost her,” the Absolute Beginners alum admitted.
It is pertinent to mention that Patsy Kensit and Liam Gallagher welcomed one child together, their son Lennon, 26.
