'Married at First Sight' star Michelle Le breaks silence on painful fertility journey

Michelle Le recently got candid and opened up about the biggest setback of her life.

While conversing with PEOPLE magazine ahead of the Married at First Sight finale on August 27, 2026, she shared that she underwent a hysterectomy earlier this year and there are chances that she could need another surgery in order to get pregnant.

The reality television star, who has been vocal about her egg-freezing decision throughout season 20, told the outlet, “I actually had the surgery back in May. I ended up needing a hysterectomy, so I was healing all through that month. So, I can’t carry my own children.”

Le went on to sing praises of her husband, Cameron Mitchell, for showing her unwavering support throughout her painful fertility journey.

She admitted, “Cameron was really supportive through it all, and we’re going to look into surrogacy in the fall.”

“We have no idea what that process entails, but it’s definitely something that we’re interested in and we want to go for. So we’re excited to start that process,” Le stated.

Notably, her fertility challenges were “a bit of a surprise” for them; however, it never affected their relationship.

Mitchell articulated, “It was never something that made me second guess her... [or] us. I was more focused on finding love and finding my person.”

“There’s obviously a lot of different ways, I guess less conventional ways, of having a family. And so it was really cool to just kind of hear Michelle’s story,” he said.
