Prince Harry, Meghan Markle strengthen ties with new allies ahead of UK return

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have struck up an unlikely friendship with former Spice Girl member Geri Horner ahead of their return to the UK.

The pair are said to have grown closer to the singer and her husband, Christian Horner.

On Monday, an insider told the Daily Mail that Harry and Meghan are really enjoying a close friendship with Geri and her husband.

"Meghan and Geri in particular have become increasingly friendly and have been in ever more regular contact in recent weeks," the source said.

"Christian has also had a number of conversations with Harry. They are friends," the insider continued.

The confidant further told the publication that "Geri is absolutely buzzing about the relationship – and she's loving being involved from the inside in their return to U.K.," while her hubby "is a bit more circumspect – less overawed."

"But both of them are aware that the Sussexes will be relaunching themselves socially in a matter of days and they see themselves as potentially a key part of this new friendship group," the insider shared.

For those unversed, Harry traveled to the UK last month to fulfill his commitment to the Invictus Games.

During the final leg of his trip, Harry was joined by Meghan and their two kids. On July 10, the family met King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House.
