Trey Plutnicki is finally officially married to his longtime lover.

The Squid Game: The Challenge star tied the knot with Cecilia Lole on August 22 in Chicago with a 175-person guest list.

Moreover, it was a vibrant wedding where guests wore “dress as colorful as possible.”

It is pertinent to mention here that their romance started in 2021, and later, in April 2025, Trey proposed to Cecilia in Lincoln Park, Chicago.

Speaking to People Magazine, the newlyweds said, “We wanted to get married in Chicago because we live in this city and love this city.”

The Chicago couple further elaborated that “Neither of us or our families are from Chicago, so we wanted to give everyone an opportunity to see why we fell in love with Chicago — and maybe give them a chance to fall in love themselves.”

They revealed how they envisioned their celebration and wanted everybody to have fun, saying, “We hoped people would see a few fun things on our wedding website and decide to build a vacation with our wedding as the center piece.”

“We are both musical theater performers and have a flair for the dramatic,” the duo further added.

Looking back at her dress selection, “I had tried on quite a few dresses before I tried on this one. I was starting to get worried that I wouldn’t find one that felt exactly like me: romantic, elegant, but with a bit of drama,” the musical theater performer revealed as she had worn a white Viero bridal gown on her big day.

“When I tried this dress on, it was finally exactly what I was looking for,” she remarked.

The groom shared the meaning of marriage, stating that “Getting married means the chance to share our partnership with our favorite people.”

Try revealed that they had been living like a married couple long before their wedding, “We’ve done a lot out of order — we’ve moved in together, bought a house together, she’s in family group chats, we’ve fostered dogs together.”

“Getting married, to me, is more about letting our friends and family take part in the commitment we are making. They are all witness to us making a promise to each other. Our invitation is asking for their support, and their attendance is an agreement to support,” the new husband further added.
