Sydney Sweeney takes aim at Tom Cruise with mid-air plane stunt

Sydney Sweeney channeled Tom Cruise while standing on a plane thousands of feet in the air.

The Hollywood actress took to Instagram on Monday and shared a video of herself performing the most dangerous stunt.

The video showed Sweeney strapped to aircraft while wearing a red safety vest, and protective goggles as the plane performs dramatic turns and rolls.

At one point, the aircraft sends Sweeney momentarily upside down, making a scene that could have come straight out of a Mission: Impossible movie.

In the caption, Sweeney jokingly wrote, "Watch out Tom Cruise."

Her stunt appeared to reference one of Cruise's most daring sequences in 2025's Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning. Cruise famously performed a high-altitude wing-walking stunt on a Stearman biplane while the aircraft rolled and looped at around 140 mph and thousands of feet above the ground.

It is pertinent to mention that Sydney Sweeney has previously shown that she isn't afraid of adrenaline-fueled adventures.

In July, she shared footage from a trip to Australia and New Zealand that included bungee jumping, helicopter rides and speedboats with boyfriend Scooter Braun.
