'Harry Potter' star spills on 'embarrassing' OnlyFans journey
The actor turned media influencer did not like the job despite massive payday
Jessie Cave, who played the role of Lavender Brown, Ron Weasley's girlfriend in the last three installments of Harry Potter, dished on how she struggled to meet her ends and her hesitation to join OnlyFans.
The 39-year-old English actress and comedian, who became part of the online content subscription service as a creator in March 2025 and mostly makes “hair content” to support herself and her four children, admitted that she was first embarrassed to join the platforming given that she was part oof the big franchise.
During an appearance on British daytime TV show This Morning, Jessie said, "“People just assume I’m rich and I have loads of money, but no, I don’t.
“It was embarrassing because, on a certain level, I would have really liked to get a job, but you know what it’s like [when] you have kids … it costs so much for childcare.”
The Tale of Tales star, who shared her kids with comedian Alfie Brown called the OnlyFans career a “weird job” but she had no options other than to take it to raise her children.
“I have managed to keep afloat for 18 years,” Jessie explained. “And then, it just came to a moment a couple of years ago where I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I really don’t know what I would do,’ and this was an option.”
Earlier in August, UK-based newspaper The Times published her interview in which Jessie said, “I couldn’t go and, say, work in a supermarket because I can’t afford the childcare, and also I don’t want people shouting Harry Potter spells at me as I work at Tesco.”
She added at the time, “I could retrain but I can’t afford to do a degree. I had a breakdown and I thought, that’s it with acting, I give up. But also we have no money. It was a point of complete desperation.”
Jessie makes videos of herself dressed up as an elf, a maid or even Brown while playing with or brushing her long hair.
She noted, “My rule is the hair is the main character. That’s how I justify it. It’s literally about hair: the texture of hair. The fetish. It’s very, very niche.”
