The Outer Banks’ ending left its cast in awe.

In an interview with People Magazine, the Outer Banks cast members reflected on their characters and revealed their experiences and reactions as the series reached its conclusion after 5 seasons.

The story revolves around the character John B and his friend group, who live in the Outer Banks of California and are eventually caught in a treasure hunt that is connected to John B’s long-lost father.

One of the series’ main actors, Madison Bailey, who portrayed the character of Kiara, said that she is satisfied with the ending of her role in the final season. “I think I feel okay about it.”

Adding, “I feel good about the ending. I can’t say that I expected it, but that’s also, if I’m thinking about season 1, I couldn’t predict anything that was going to happen.

“After last season’s ending, I really didn’t know what Kiara’s end would look like, and the fact that we finished it with a smile on her face, I’m good with that,” she further added.

As Jonathan Davis’ character, Pope Heyward, went through so much, Jonathan and Carlacia Grant, who is portraying Cleo, were pleased to see him with a happy ending. “Him finishing out his arc in a way where he gets to have a happy ending was really nice to see,” Jonathan said.

“I mean, honestly, his whole storyline took a lot of twists and turns that I didn’t expect when I first came onto the show. I’m [not] going to lie.”

While Carlacia stated, “I mean, I couldn’t have predicted how it would’ve ended.”

“So it was very shocking and exciting, because who doesn’t want to have that much money? And a new house and dual citizenship!” she further added.

As per Drew Starkey, playing Rafe Cameron, reflecting on his difficult journey and how the character ultimately wrapped up, he said, “Listen, he’s a person that is in constant pursuit of some type of love and connection. That’s where you find him season 1 — he wants some attention and admiration from a person that he loves. And I think ultimately, in the end, he gets that.”

Noting, “He gets a feeling of friendship, and he gets a feeling of connection with people that he cares about.”

“So I think it’s wrapped up nicely,” he further added.

It is pertinent to mention that the teen drama features a star-studded cast, including Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Carlacia Grtan, Drew Starkey, Austin North, and others.
