Galaxy S26 FE tipped to launch at $799 on August 27

Barely a month after its last product reveal, Samsung is heading back to the stage. The company has sent out invitations for a "Galaxy Event August 2026", scheduled for August 27, and the timing alone tells most of the story.

While the invitation does not explicitly mention any device. Samsung has always used such wording for its events related to Fan Editions, referring to "welcome[ing] its latest addition" to the Galaxy S26 lineup.

It's been a full year since the Galaxy S25 FE was released on the market, and a number of leaks that have happened during the past few weeks did leave any room for guesses.

According to the tech giant, the new phone is said to offer 'core Galaxy S26 experiences from camera to AI', along with the latest update of One UI.

In simple words, this device is the same Fan Edition approach that Samsung has followed all these years; that is, take advantage of the flagship's cameras and software but reduce the price. The mention of One UI refers to the fact that the phone comes pre-loaded with One UI 9.

Samsung has not yet announced an official pricing, and this probably won’t happen before the event proper. The latest speculations are about the Galaxy S26 FE being priced somewhere near $799 or €799, although leaked prices have differed greatly, so it is better to take it only as a reference.

Considering that the cost of memory is increasing for many manufacturers in the sector, you should keep this in mind when looking at the possible final price.

The event will be held live on Samsung’s official website and YouTube on August 27.
