Piers Morgan reacts to Prince Harry, Meghan’s UK return

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to move from the US back to the UK later this month.

As first reported by The Sun, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex intend to settle into a private and non-royal residence outside London. Their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, are expected to start at a British school in return.

King Charles and the Prince and Princess of Wales were informed of the return move last weekend and the monarch welcomed this announcement. But it remains unclear whether the couple will resume working royal roles or not.

The announcement of Prince Harry and Meghan moving back to Britain drew response from Piers Morgan.

Taking to X, the renowned broadcaster posted, “I may have to emigrate to the U.S.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left Britain in early 2020 on the grounds of various reasons including intense media scrutiny, friction within the royal family, and a desire for financial and personal independence.

The jab coming from Morgan dated back to the long-running and highly public feud between Piers Morgan and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Following Harry and Meghan’s fiery interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, Morgan launched a tirade, claiming he “did not believe a word” of what Meghan said especially her statements related to mental health struggles while working as a royal.

His comments sparked a backlash and after a heated on-air argument with his colleague, Morgan quit the show rather than issuing an apology.
