Exclusive: Meghan Markle 'American dream crumbles' with shock UK return, says chef

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have left the world in shock with their latest move.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, in a bombshell update, have decided to move back to the UK, raising speculation on what it could mean for their family, careers and business ventures.

The couple are reportedly preparing for their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to begin school in England this September. While the details surrounding the reported plans remain unclear, the prospect of a renewed UK presence has prompted questions about how it could affect their lives and professional ambitions.

Amid this, celebrity chef Jameson Stocks predecits what is in the bag for the Duke and Duchess as they make their way back to Harry's homeland.

Speaking to The News International, Stocks notes: "They are moving back because they lost the court case; had they won, they would never have returned. The American dream appears to have crumbled because her celebrity status was not as influential as she believed."

The celebrity chef adds: "Those who supported them, including Netflix and Spotify, reportedly lost millions, while her branded products were widely criticized as disappointing and misleading to ordinary consumers. I only hope British taxpayers will not be expected to fund their security. Many people in Britain are tired of seeing individuals perceived as dependent on public support, and it seems they have little choice but to return to the UK cap in hand, I think it’s a disgrace, with all the money they received for the Netflix show that they can’t sustain and support themselves."

Predicting the future of Meghan's lifestyle brand 'As Ever' and the logictics around it, the chef notes: "As Ever, her brand feels largely irrelevant. I honestly doubt many people care about edible flowers or candles carrying her logo; the whole venture comes across as rather desperate. Had they won their court case, they certainly would not be returning to the UK. Yet now they want to make use of our education system—despite having been so eager to leave the country and frequently criticising it. I hope nobody buys her products," he notes.

Further taking a swipe at Meghan, the celebrity chef speculated that the Duchess could make a return to television in the foreseeable future.

Stocks suggested that Meghan could potentially land a role on ITV’s This Morning, while making a pointed remark about the programme’s history of featuring controversial and high-profile guests.

“I don’t know, maybe This Morning will take her on,” he said, adding that the show “has a habit of letting talentless people on,” referring to what he described as “nepo babies” and “criminals.”
