Royal author speaks out against Prince Harry: ‘Your status was never simply a title!’

Prince Harry, a Spare once famous for revealing royal secrets, private family disputes and even speaking out against the very Firm he’s grown up in, is now looking to rehabilitate his relationship with his cancer-stricken father.

While its said all this is taking place, for his sake and the sake of his children, one royal columnist warns otherwise.

The man in question is Mr Lee Cohen and he penned his thoughts in a piece for GB News.

Not only did this piece include a number of accusatory revelations, but also brought back all the dirt that was flung into the Firm’s laps back in 2019-2024.

He started by calling the Duke out right then and there, with the following words, “Harry cannot reasonably expect Britain to forget the damage caused by his memoir, his interviews and the repeated public attacks on the Royal Family. He cannot expect supporters of the monarchy to treat years of accusations and recriminations as though they were merely an unfortunate private disagreement. Nor can he expect the institution to treat his renewed interest in Britain as though it carries no history.”

The reason, “royal status was never simply a title. It was the engine behind his extraordinary access to the media, the public and the causes he championed. It supplied an authority and fascination that no private entertainment company can manufacture on demand,” in the eyes of Mr Cohen. Outside of that, in the real world the Sussexes “have discovered that celebrity is not the same thing as institutional relevance,” he admitted.

But that’s not even the entire thing because in the eyes of the columnist, Harry faces issues not just from his family, but also from the general public and royal supporters because “many of the monarchy’s most loyal supporters are likely to resent a royal rehabilitation.”

Near the end he also pointed out how damaging it will be for optics because “for many, a renewed royal role will not look like a heartwarming family reunion. It will look like a reward for behaviour they regard as unforgivable.”

Before signing off Mr Cohen also added, “that is the real complexity. A father naturally wants reconciliation with his son. But a sovereign must consider the institution he represents and the confidence of those who support it. If Harry is allowed to return to a prominent royal orbit without having demonstrated genuine contrition or accepted the consequences of what he has done, the message to loyal supporters will be deeply damaging: attack the institution for years, profit from the fallout, and eventually the doors will open again when you need them.”
