Human remains found near Tucson amid Nancy Guthrie investigation

As Nancy Guthrie's disapperance marks six months, investigators are yet to arrest the suspects.

But now an emergency call has been made to the Pima County Sheriff's Department about possible human remains being discovered in San Xavier.

The area is rural and nearly 20 miles southwest of Tucson, where Nancy lives.

According to reports, deputies were dispatched to the scene around 8:50 am.

SAR - Search and Rescue unit of the Pima County Sheriff's Department - has been responding to the call.

Immediately, the discovery call raised speculation about whether it could be connected to Nancy's investigation.

But the investigators insisted that currently there is no information to link the remains with the 84-year-old's case.

"The call is still being worked right now," the official said.

On the other hand, Guthrie's family, particularly Savannah, kept urging her mother's presumed captors to do the right thing.

In a recent message on Instagram, she pleaded, “I’m coming on today with a very specific message."

She continued, "It has been months since our mom was taken from us. Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end. Nothing about our situation has changed."

Despite having no clue about Nancy's whereabouts, Savannah doubles down on keeping searching for her.

“We have done our part, and we will never stop looking for her. We will always ache for her and feel that hole in our hearts.”

Later, in the video message, Savannah directly appealed to Nancy's alleged kidnappers.

“The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place, and I know that you have tried to do things the right way. So I’m asking you, begging you to do the right thing now."

"Help us bring this situation to an end. For all of us, no matter where we’ve been and what we’ve done, I believe there is always a way home. Please make the right choice," Savannah concluded.

Nancy, however, is still missing and was last seen at home on Feb 1.
