Samsung’s One UI 9.5 leak reveals big iPhone-like feature

Samsung is already testing One UI 9.5 internally on the Galaxy S26 series, even though most owners are still waiting for the stable release of One UI 9.0.

Recently released screenshots by leaker Fahad Ali Javed have revealed that a new update developed for the Samsung CZH9 build focuses on improved integration with the desktop and subtle interface changes, but not on any radical redesign.

The most interesting novelty introduced with the new build is app mirroring, an ability that will allow users to access their applications and notifications on their phones through their Galaxy Book wirelessly if the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections are turned on and the user uses the same Samsung account on both devices.

This feature bears many similarities with iPhone Mirroring that was recently introduced in macOS Sequoia for Mac users and allows controlling locked iPhones from their computers using the mouse, trackpad, and keyboard.

App mirroring extends a pattern. Samsung has been building for months, following its move to end OneDrive-based gallery backups and make SwiftKey an optional rather than a built-in keyboard.

Given the overlap with the existing Phone Link feature, which already connects Galaxy phones to Windows PCs, some speculate Phone Link itself could eventually be phased out.

The leaked build also shows a bottom-docked Finder search bar, first introduced on Samsung's newest foldables, placed beside the home screen's app dock for easier one-handed reach.

Moving past desktop integration, the camera application is gaining a native 24MP capture mode along with other visual changes that include rounded pop-up menus, soft backgrounds, and spring animations for sub-menu items and tool tips.

Enrolment of fingerprints will be receiving its own makeover too, as the existing system will be replaced by a ring animation that shows you how many scans are left.
