Queen Camilla, the wife of King Charles, and step-mother to Prince William and Prince Harry is currently caught between a rock and a hard place because of the way things are changing, especially in front of the heir that’s going to decide her fate.

For those unversed, the relationship between Camilla and Willaim isn’t as good as it appears. Some sources warn he is only cordial in public, and thus, she seems to have reached out to the brother who is not keeping her future in his hands, i.e. Prince Harry.

According to their findings the fact of the matter is, with or without King Charles by her side Camilla “would like to hold onto her position within the monarchy moving forwards,” even if “Charles, god forbid, is not around.”

They also say, “she feels it’s her right to continue to serve in a prominent role. She loves the ceremonial part and the high profile that comes with it, but, more than anything, she doesn’t want to be shunted to one side.”

For that purpose, “as many gripes as she has about Harry and Meghan, ultimately, they are not a threat to her the way that William and Kate are because they are the ones who will eventually be in a position to decide her fate,” the source said in their concluding remarks while attempting to explain her reasoning.
