Travis Barker shares update on new Blink-182 music

Travis Barker has confirmed that Blink-182 are working on a new album.

The drummer shared the news during an interview on The New York Times' Popcast. When asked what he's currently working on, he said he's involved in a few production projects, including the next Blink-182 album.

He confirmed that the band is working on new music this year. Barker also said he is producing and playing drums for the upcoming Alkaline Trio album.

Blink-182's most recent album came out in 2023, marking their first record with all three original members in over ten years. Their last major tour took place last year. The band also recently released a special anniversary edition of their 2001 album, which included extra bonus songs.

Barker is also releasing a new documentary about his life, which recently had its premiere in New York. The film covers his career and a serious plane crash in 2008 that badly injured him.

He suffered severe burns and spent months in the hospital recovering after the accident. He has spoken before about the emotional struggles he faced afterward.

Bandmate Mark Hoppus also spoke last year about how far the band has come since starting out in the early 1990s.

He recalled how their early goal was simply to sell out a small club in their hometown, and how surprised he still is that the band has grown to sell out major stadiums today.
