Tate McRae, Jack Hughes break up after months of dating

Tate McRae and Jack Hughes have reportedly parted ways after dating for roughly eight to nine months.

On Friday, an insider confirmed to Page Six that the Canadian singer-songwriter, 23, and the American ice hockey player, 25, are no longer together.

As per the confidant, Jack has told his friends that his relationship with the Exes singer ended before they had a chance to confirm their romance publicly.

Meanwhile, another source shared that the NHL star broke up with Tate because he started seeing “red flags.”

However, a third source claimed that it was the Canadian songstress who pulled the plug.

Tate and Jack first sparked dating rumors in November 2025 when they were seen together in New York City.

According to reports, the ice hockey player first tried to make contact with the That Way singer via text message.

Speculation about their romance was fueled when Tate was photographed cheering Jack on at his New Jersey Devils games.

“They started casually seeing each other late last year, so it’s still new, but they are exclusively seeing each other," the source told US Weekly at that time.

"[Tate] thinks [Jack] is a really cool guy and they have been having a lot of fun together. She has been so supportive of his career and has been loving going to the games and cheering him on," the insider added.
