As parents to multiples, including one future King, Kate Middleton and Prince William just got hailed for one thing that the entire world has been noticing about her children.
This praise comes straight from body language expert Judi James.
She believes the Prince and Princess of Wales achieved something ‘near-impossible’ with Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8 at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
For those unversed with the event the children just graced, it featured a closed stadium with 5,000-seat capacity for the netball game.
She used videos from the highlights and admitted, “William and Kate appear to have achieved the near-impossible with their children.”
According to The Daily Express she’s said, “Even though they're growing and moving out of childhood and even though they could easily be wilting under the restrictions of 'royal' protocol and behaviors at public events like these, they now move and display as a relaxed, happy and sociable team with a very flexible and easy-going form of dynamics and pecking order.”
One aspect Ms James pointed out was how easily the Wales’ navigate their dynamic, and simultaneously offering their children the opportunity to see both parents “in a strong leadership role” rather than the more traditional set-up.
Another thing she pointed out, which showed a stark shift was how different their sense of royal behavioral rules appear, when compared to previous generations
of royal parents did, their body language suggests they use contagious enthusiasm signals to actually grow a sense of active enjoyment in public events.”
“Children are rarely able to act engaged and happy when they're bored or anxious, so the smiles and laughter we can see from them here will be authentic.”
“This looks like a genuinely fun outing for them, with Louis of course still providing all the comedy and the playful action.”
Where Eton-bound Prince George was concerned specifically, she pointed out the hidden ‘hero-worshipping’ happening in subtle ways, and also his constant hovering from his dad to his mom.
Moreover, she also pointed out a major shift between the kids’ behavior in the past vs now. Before, the children would follow their parents during meet and greets but what’s visible is a “growing confidence and authentic understanding of their royal role” in Ms James’ eyes – especially in the moments their seen “stepping up” in terms of “participating in the small talk chats.”
