Amid rift rumors here’s what an old assistant has said about Prince William and King Charles’ relationship
Rift rumors have only risen more and more since King Charles’ cancer was announced and the world held its breath, wondering how long before Prince William takes up the mantle.
But an old butler who served the Royal Family for decades, especially during the time when Princess Diana was still alive, has come forward.
The man in question is Grant Harrold, and he’s shared these findings on behalf of Heart Bingo Online.
The conversation itself happened alongside Showbiz Cheat Sheet and the outlet saw the ex-butler admit without missing a beat, “they’re really close.”
“The two of them support each other. The king is great at giving William advice and guidance” and in return its said Prince William “was always very good at supporting his father,” so “they’ve got a wonderful relationship.”
While the ex-butler does admit to there having been some ‘evolving’ that took place, he explained “their relationship evolved with the king guiding and helping William progress into his future role as Prince of Wales, and his eventual role as king.” What’s more is that William “is also offering a lot more of his views” and “his guidance to the king and coming into his own with a new confidence.”
As for whether he feels the relationship changed, either for better or worse, when the Coronation took place Mr Harrold admitted right before he concluded the conversation, “I don’t think there is a huge difference in their relationship. Obviously, the king’s got a lot more responsibilities, and he is a lot busier. They probably don’t see each other as much as they used to, but that’s all.”
