“This is just the beginning; this is just a trailer. The match is yet to begin. No change will become possible unless the powerful people are made accountable. This country will not prosper as long as it has a corrupt prime minister and the cabinet,” he said while addressing the PTI workers and supporters at various places on the way.

He accused Nawaz and his companions of corruption and called for their accountability.“The country will have no future. This country and its people will not prosper without accountability of the rulers,” he asserted.

The PTI chief said the nation was wide awake and wanted the prime minister to clear his position in the wake of PanamaLeaks. He said people were facing loadshedding and Pakistan Railways was in crisis due to corruption.

Imran Khan said he would not remain content with this protest and vowed to take the entire nation to Raiwind.“We will go to Lahore after Islamabad,” he promised the cheering supporters.“Nawaz Sharif has accused me of hindering the development process, but in fact I am putting hurdles to the development of his private business,” the PTI chief maintained.

Imran Khan said the country was not receiving foreign investment due to the corruption by the prime minister.“You are the biggest impediment to the country’s development. You misappropriated public money in Yellow Cab scheme, Motorway, Metro Bus and Orange Train projects,” he alleged.

Talking about the Orange Train project in Lahore, Imran said the project cost was Rs200 billion while the development budget of KP was 113 billion. “The heavy kickbacks received in the Orange Train Project will be shifted to foreign accounts,” he claimed.

The PTI chief said state institutions had been destroyed because of corruption.“Who will protect the exchequer if people do not come forward?” he asked. He warned that the accountability movement will continue till the prime minister presented himself for accountability.

Imran Khan said he was happy that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had filed a reference against him, adding that the PTI would file a reference against the prime minister and would emerge successful.

“I will not be cowed down by false allegations,” he added.Justifying his Tehreek-e-Ehtesab, Imran said the opposition had the right to ask the prime minister about the money he had transferred abroad and how he purchased the flats in London.

He accused the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of protecting the prime minister and Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.Imran Khan thanked the supporters for braving the hot weather to join the protest on his call.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the people of Nowshera had proved that it was a stronghold of the PTI and will remain so in future as well. He said the people of Nowshera had given their verdict against corruption.

Jehangir Tareen said the gathering at Nowshera had proved the hard work of the PTI leadership.Chief Minister Pervez Khattak thanked the people of his native Nowshera for giving a rousing welcome to the participants of the rally. He said the gathering had unnerved the rulers.

The organisers had acquired on rent a small plane that continued to shower flower petals on the crowd.People had to wait for hours in the hot and humid weather to welcome their leaders. The chief minister was seen giving directions to the workers from the container.

Earlier, the procession led by Imran Khan started from Pir Zakori Sharif Bridge in Peshawar.A sizeable number of the party activists received the PTI chief at the container amid slogans.
