Millie Bobby reveals ‘awesome’ nickname grandpa Jon Bon Jovi got from her daughter

Jon Bon Jovi recently became a grandfather and he's been given an amusing new name as result.

The rocker's son Jake and daughter-in-law, Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown, announced they had adopted a baby girl three months last year.

Doting grandpa Jon got a new piece of bling to mark the special occasion: "See my bracelet? It says ‘Papa Jon’ — I’m like the pizzeria... It’s awesome, it’s absolutely awesome."

His band, Bon Jovi play three dates Wembley Stadium in September, Jon's first UK dates since vocal chord surgery sidelined him four years ago.

The Livin' On A Prayer legend was relieved his bandmates didn't look for other work while he was out of action, "They never doubted me and never looked for work or decided to retire. The sacrifices that each one of them have made to be there for me is on a whole 'nother level.”

"They said, 'No, we're with you.' Every day of every rehearsal they were there with me. My love for them has only deepened,” he expressed.

It was touch and go whether Jon would be able to sing on tour again but he added, "I'm fully recovered. It was longer than I'd ever expected, but it had to be right. We never lost faith."

Bon Jovi's Forever tour, which includes a date in Edinburgh, will be a celebration of the band as well as a first chance to hear their 2024 comeback album live for the first time.

"It's not about perfection," said Jon Bon Jovi about their return. "It's about excellence. It's like I have the gift to be able to hold this light.”
