The most awaited event, Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026, is just a few hours away to showcase the new products which the technology company has developed. The Galaxy S26 series is expected to receive major updates alongside several new AI features and design modifications.
The Unpacked 2026 event has created a buzz among consumers, as tonnes of rumours have been surfacing for months about what the tech giant might be up to.
The Galaxy S26 will have a 6.3-inch screen together with a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and 12GB RAM and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor which operates in the USA and China. The initial leaks show that the standard model will return to a raised camera bump design.
The Galaxy S26 Plus may come with a 6.7-inch display, the same processor and RAM, and a 7.35 mm-thick body. Samsung appears to be keeping the Plus model instead of a slim Edge variant, after the Edge’s weaker sales last year.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to come with a 5,000 mAh battery, 1 TB maximum storage, 16 GB RAM and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. The system will return to an aluminium frame together with 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging, according to unconfirmed reports.
The EU battery labels which leaked before the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event shows that the new series will have shorter battery life because it will maintain 80% capacity until 1,200 cycles, which is a reduction from the S25's 2,000 cycles.
Samsung is developing its Galaxy AI system with a new assistant, which uses Perplexity technology. The AI agent will work with Samsung applications, including Notes, Clock, Gallery, Reminder, and Calendar, and selected third-party applications through the voice command system, using Hey Plex and the side button for activation.
