Prince William was reportedly found Meghan Markle "difficult" and did not like her "rude" behaviour with staff just days after her marriage to Prince Harry.
According to a report by Radaronline.com, author Russek Myers claimed in the William and Catherine: The Inside Story book that Prince and Princess of Wales's peace quickly disappeared just a few days after Harry and Meghan's wedding in 2018.
The author revealed in his book that Meghan's "rude" behaviour to staff frustrated William.
An insider claimed, "It was a very stressful time, tensions were high, people were running on empty, and generally working themselves to the bone trying to get across all the details for the wedding. [William] saw what was happening and apologized on behalf of his brother on more than one occasion."
"[William and Catherine] had spent a considerable amount of time fostering a really nice and relaxed working atmosphere, and in those few months, it was utterly extinguished. People were leaving all the time; it was horrendous."
The royal insider also claimed that Kate and William started worrying that Meghan and Harry were leaving a bad impression on the palace employees and "there were constant complaints."
"In one camp, you had the people who cared, wanted those working in the household to enjoy themselves while working there, and on the other side, it was something different every day. Nothing was ever good enough; there were constant complaints. It was exhausting," an insider shared.
And when William and Kate tried to explain Harry and Meghan and their behaviour with staff, the discussion ended up in a major disagreement.
Meyers wrote, "The resulting exchange did not bode well for the future."
"Harry and Meghan were unwilling to concede they were responsible for the departure of two of Meghan’s PAs, or for the general desperate atmosphere, in which members of staff reported they were sick with stress."
The author continued, "William accused Meghan of being difficult and rude, and according to Harry, pointed directly at his wife."
"The whole atmosphere was ugly."
