Despite having very negative feelings towards the UK, Meghan Markle is planning a dive into the UK market that will pose direct competition to that of King Charles’ Royal Collection Trust Shop that sells similar products to As Ever, the luxury lifestyle brand she’s helmed.
Things like Buckingham Palace preserves, to honey, marmalade, honey dippers, various types of teas, delectable biscuits, as their called it, as well as dry gin and even confectionary’s are up for grabs on that website.
But for her leap into the unknown, a source admits she is ready to throw in a huge personal and financial investment, to build her UK standing after a ‘year from hell’.
The whole thing has been explained to Closer magazine during one of the sources’ interviews and sees them admit, “Meghan is absolutely convinced this is the moment to go big and she’s not talking about dipping a toe in; she’s talking about full global expansion.”
Her reasoning for this dive is because she truly believes there’s serious money to be made overseas, especially in countries and cities across Europe and Asia.
In order to make it possible “she’s been gearing up for this next phase for a long time, that’s why there’s been so much stock produced, and she’s ready to pull the trigger.”
Plus, given her own past experiences in the UK, the insider admits, “it will give her a lot of satisfaction to dominate the UK jam market, which is something she really believes will be possible once her brand is exposed to a wider audience in Britain.”
But her husband, Prince Harry does not see it as a worthwhile risk because he feels ‘wary’ given their backlog of professional setbacks this year.
